While studying at Ontario College of Art and Design, Kulenovic was one of the founding members of Propeller Centre for the Visual Arts (now Propeller Art Gallery), a well-known artist run centre and exhibition space in Toronto (1996).
As a sculptor, Kulenovic occasionally created artwork for film in the areas of trauma simulation, anatomy and surgery. IMDB
She studied classical piano and music has been a significant influence in her work.
Her interest in movement as well as in meditation led her to dedicated training in martial arts. Over the years she obtained various advanced black belt degrees in goju -ryu karate, okinawan kobudo and wing chun kung fu. She is a life long runner and swimmer.
Maya Kulenovic is a Canadian artist, living in Toronto, Ontario. Kulenovic was born in 1975 in Sarajevo, SFR Yugoslavia
